HI HELLO NEWGROUNDS!
I'm turning the big 2 0 today, and I also wanted to give a bit of an update on where I've been for the past two or so years.
- SCHOOL
I've been in college full-time since summer 2023 and that's been an eye-opening experience for me so far (to anybody curious I'm going for a graphic design degree). getting to be with so many like-minded people is awesome and I'm learning so much. A good part of the reason for the lack of art is the college workload. sometimes it's been like running a marathon to get some of these assignments in on time lol. just doing my best to juggle school and art for the time being.
2.FREELANCE + COLLAB PROJECTS
Since 2023, I've been knee-deep in animation freelance work for a variety of clients. As of the start of 2023, I've been an animator and storyboard artist for SCRIBBLEJUICE on youtube. I've contributed to the past handful of vids on their channel and it's been a blast working with them and the crew! recently, I got tapped in to do some cleanup animation for SHOOT STAR! by FEWEBOMB! super cool project and I got to learn a ton of new stuff too! I'm also helping out on BOB'S WORLD as an animator. been at it since 2021 and wisdom and the crew are all super skilled people and it's a pleasure to be able to contribute. i also got to contribute to some collab projects right here on newgrounds: THE DREAMCAST COLLAB & FULPWARE GOLD. I'm also currently doing freelance on some projects that are NDA/i'd rather reveal them closer to their release dates.
right now, I'm taking steps to try to be more consistent with my art output and experiment more with my style (as well as taking the time to regularly check my mental health). I'm digging this current piece I'm working on atm, and my current goal with my art right now is to continue doing art studies and flesh out my style.
